It has come to my attention lately, that more and more people are trying to push the idea of religion on me. Its kind of sad really, because I look at all religions the same way, as the mythology they will become. Look at the Greeks and the Romans, and all of their Gods and Deities. How many thousands of people, believed in those gods? How many men died in battles over those gods, believing them just a full-heartedly as anyone today believes in a modern religious figure.
Just a few clips from a post I made earlier
----------------------------------------------------------
If anything, I'm a misanthropist, and there for hate and distrust people and anything about people. Since all religions are based on the adult version of imaginary friends, God/Gods were created by people, and so, I don't trust them. Religion is mass mind control, gives people hope, and a reason to go on, while the upper class that made up the religion milks the underclass for everything they are worth.
That's what you get from someone that doesn't sit too close to the problem, and isn't trying to justify one way or the other, its called the truth, and with the news lately, about the government being sued over the words "in god we trust" on some memorial, I think its about time this country woke up and remembered we were founded on the freedom to worship however we please, but that freedom doesn't stop at the door to our house, and isn't limited to the views under that particular roof. Everyone, every where, is free to worship in their own way, but that does not give us the right to try to push our views on anyone else. So in the immortal words of the late George Carlin "Keep thy religion to thy self"
And I wish these Bible Salesmen would realize there book was written by a bunch of guys that thought they were talking to God. If anyone even hinted at that now a days, they would be committed and drugged up and be getting coloring books for their birthday for the rest of their life.
Furthermore, the stories in the big book, are STOLEN. Just like the changing of the guard in every other religion, they took the same old stories, rewrote them to reflect modern events, to better sell the ideas to the public. Christmas? Pagan Winter Solstice celebration, Christmas trees that everyone loves so much, Pagan ritual to keep the hope of new life in the spring. Easter? Pagan Spring Equinox celebration. Thanksgiving and hell, even the 4th of July? Fall and summer Pagan Celebrations. But the best of all, the holy grail of stolen stories.....The Holy Grail.....every religion predating thousands of years before Christianity, has a water/food/source of eternal life story. Its all BS, its all made up, its all there to put fear and hope into people, to keep them in line.

I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself.
